A house lent to family is reset differently from a listing. The owners' things stay in place; the guests' traces need to go; and the house should look, on arrival, like the owners just stepped out. So the reset works from a checklist written for your house — which linens on which bed, which cupboard the guest towels live in, what stays out on the counter and what goes back in the drawer — and we photograph every room when we're done so you can see it from wherever you are.

Each reset strips and remakes the beds with fresh linens, cleans the bathrooms down to the fixtures, sanitizes the kitchen and puts the dishes back where they belong, vacuums and mops every floor, squeegees the garden doors, wipes mirrors and glass, takes out the trash, clears and restocks the fridge with essentials if you'd like, and puts the house back the way you keep it. Anything left behind — a charger, a book, a child's toy — is set aside and noted.

Resets are scheduled to the calendar: the day the guests leave, the morning before you're back. For a whole row house we send two cleaners so it's done in a few hours. Pricing is a flat rate per turnover confirmed once we've seen the house, with no stair fee, and anything short of the standard is fixed free within 24 hours.
