Post-Construction / Renovation Cleaning in Kensington, Brooklyn

Post-Construction / Renovation Cleaning for Kensington Homes

Houses here get renovated as families grow: a kitchen opened up, a bathroom added, a basement finished, an extension at the back. When the work ends, the dust is everywhere children touch: window sills, baseboards, the inside of closets and toy storage, the tops of door frames where it falls every time a door closes. It's too fine to wipe away once. We remove it in passes — bulk, resettled, then detail — working top-down through every floor and finishing floors last each time.

Residue comes next: paint splatter, caulk smears on new tile, adhesive from protective film, grout haze. Each has its own product and a light hand so new surfaces aren't marked. Cabinets, drawers and closets are cleaned inside, vents and light fixtures cleared, window tracks and sills detailed, walls and baseboards wiped. Then the kitchen and bathrooms get a full sanitizing clean. With children coming back, we finish with a wipe of every high-touch surface at their height — handles, switches, rails — and we can use fragrance-free products throughout.

We schedule for the day after the last trade leaves and stay flexible when the work slips. If the project finished in stages, we'll clean the kids' rooms first so they can move back in while the rest wraps up. For a whole house we send a team so it's done in one day. Pricing is a flat figure from photos or a short video of the finished space, confirmed on a quick call. Anything missed is re-cleaned free within 24 hours, including another pass if dust settles beyond a light film.
