The detail work is slower and gentler than in a modern home: woodwork washed by hand with a neutral product and wiped nearly dry, stained glass cleaned with a barely damp cloth and dry-buffed, old tile and enamel treated with non-abrasives, plaster never touched with a wet cloth. Around that, the full service: oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave and dishwasher cleaned inside; cabinet fronts and hood degreased; behind appliances where they move; shower glass, faucets and showerheads descaled; grout scrubbed; baseboards, door frames and switch plates washed on every floor; radiator covers, blinds, vents and light fixtures detailed; sills and tracks cleared; walls spot-cleaned. Floors last, damp-mopped, never soaked.

A whole Victorian is a full day with a team of two or three so it finishes in one visit.
